Epignosis at the Future Internet Assembly

2 minutes

Future Internet AssemblyIn the advanced stage of the information society in which we live in, education and skills acquisition have become more important than ever. The increasing demand for highly skilled professionals and for the constant re-education of the workforce has made learning tools and knowledge acquisition technologies part of the essential infrastructure for shaping the future.

MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), especially, have been the first wave of this learning tools evolution, offering a cost-effective and accessible path to education for the masses. Still, MOOCs are far from being the ultimate solution to cover all current and future learning needs.

The “Beyond MOOCs: The Future of Learning on the Future Internet” session of the Future Internet Assembly (Thursday 20 March, 09:00-11:00) focuses on the latest trends and developments on the e-learning front. Our CEO and co-founder Dimitris Tsigos, will be presenting Epignosis’ tools support community and our personalised learning innovations based on the concept of “collective knowledge”

Epignosis, a pioneer of e-learning and specialised MOOC solutions, has, for over a decade, been committed on developing learning technologies for the future internet, riding on the unprecedented wave of information, mobility and interactivity between people, devices, content and services to create flexible, scalable and personalised learning tools for the enterprise, academia and private individuals.

Never content with the status quo, we are always investigating future trends in technology and learning methodologies, while inventing some unique solutions of our own in the process. We already offer solutions (and are actively working on new products) based on what we see as major current and near future directions in eLearning:

  • Microlearning
  • Gamification
  • Personalization
  • Visualization of information (Infographics)
  • Mobile learning
  • MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses)
  • Cloud
  • TinCan (a light protocol for collecting, analyzing and acting upon learning information)

Besides our industry leading TalensLMS Cloud platform, we are in the process of releasing a mobile application for micro-learning, based on new innovative gamification and e-learning infographics engines, that we’re quite excited about. Watch this space for further announcements. In the meantime, if you’re attending the “Beyond MOOCs” session of the Future Internet Assembly (Thursday 20 March, 09:00-11:00), you’re welcome to come and meet our CEO. And if you’d like more information on Epignosis’ innovative set of e-learning solutions, drop us a line here.
